Anyone working on an entry for this one???? I hope to see lots of interesting quilt blocks!! There are so many styles of quilting and so many differant ways to make a quilt block. It will be interesting to me to see if anyone enters any of my designs in this contest!! LOL

I finished a block to enter, but don't know whether it will be my final choice. I keep thinking I can do better. LOL

If I had been thinking fast enough I would have allowed more than one entry but it didn't occur to me soon enough. Maybe in the upcoming contests I will allow up to 3 entries per person. we'll see!

So here are two more ideas for a block challenge. 1) What if you set a color theme next time so same block challenge, just have the blocks done in blues, pinks, whatever - and we all sent you the finished blocks. Would you or Patrice be willing to put them together into a quilt to donate to a charity? 2) another block challenge would be for us to submit 3 blocks - traditional pieced, paper pieced and applique - and again we send you the blocks for the same purpose?

Its too early for my brain to be working!!!

question about the rule-never been show on-line before. Can we get a pattern from on line or does this have to be our original idea.

My understanding is that it can't be a block that you have posted a picture of here on QB or anywhere else, like a blog or another quilting site. That could give you an unfair advantage. All entries should be anonymous so that they will be judged on their merits, not on who made them. Your block itself can be any style, any size, etc., sourced from anywhere - books, online, etc. with the usual caveat about copyright infringement.

Yes that is right Mdm. It doesn't matter where you get your ideas as long as you credit the source. The finished product is yours so you just have to keep it a secret til after the voting is over.

I think I can do this one. It will be fun. Another reason to get going on a project to be done.
