Thanks for the link - the cake recipe sounds great. My family loves my apple pie, but it's too hot for that today and too much work. I'll let you know how my DH likes it, but then he likes everything I bake. My daughter says I hate to cook, but love to bake and she's probably right, but it's hard to cook for 2 people, make too much and DH eats too much, don't make enough and there's hardly enough left for a lunch. Oh well, someday I'll have my act together. At least thanks to QB I'm back to being a more productive quilter. Happy quilting.

Thanks so much Crafty Bear. I am headed to the kitchen right now to make this to take to a cookout and pool party at a friend's house. DH is making homemade vanilla bean ice cream. Yum! Will let everyone know how the cake turns out. I originally planned to make cake balls but they are a little time consuming.

I made this cake Monday morning and took it over to a Labor Day cookout at a friends house on Monday afternoon. It was a huge hit! We served it with homemade vanilla bean ice cream....yuuummmm!!! Now to try to get back into my clothes the next few days lol. Seriously, this is a fabulous, easy recipe. Thanks so much Crafty Bear, this one's a keeper and I look forward to trying some of the other recipes on the site.
