    This is from the cookbook Heritage Country Harvest.

    1/2 cup shortening
    1 cup sugar
    2 eggs
    2 bananas (mashed
    1/4 tsp Nutmeg
    2 cups flour
    1 tsp baking soda
    1 tsp salt

    Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs, banannas, spices and flour.
    Place in loaf pan.
    Bake at 350 degrees for 50 - 60 min.
    Optional: nuts

    Your very welcome, mine just came out of the oven SMELLS SO GOOD!
    I made a double batch, in a 9 x 13 pan. Waiting for it to cool so I can have some.

    I made this bread yesterday. I had 2 bananas that needed to be used. It was very good. Thanks for posting this recipe.
