I have found that microwave popcorn is NOT an inexpensive snack. Not wanting to make popcorn on the stove top and have to wash more pots I found you can make your own microave popcorn for pennies per bag. It is also free of additives and only 10 calories per cup. You can add butter or spices that you want to.

    Recipe
    1 brown paper lunch bag
    1/4 c poporn kernels
    !/4 tsp salt

Put popcorn kernels and salt in paper bag. Fold top over 2 times. Microwave 2 minutes on high or until the kernals stop popping.

If you want you can mix 1 tbsp oil with the kernels before putting them in the bag.

I don't like the smell of the oil that they use in the microwave popcorns.. It lingers Long after it is popped and eaten...

I also use a microwave steamer to make popcorn. You can put oil in the bottom, add the popcorn and the lid and it works very well :D:D:D

love this idea i usually make popcorn every night and I never make microwave popcorn because it just doesn't smell or taste right. No salt or butter for me but my family is another story. thanks for the super great tip.

A reason to buy paper lunch bags again, thanks. I'm going to try this because I just don't like the taste of packaged microwave popcorn plus the price is very high.

    Thanks!
