    Default Chocolate Pecan Pie

I cooked this pie from Food Network Recipes, and it was delicious. https://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/...recipe-1941155

I've made similar pies before -- my husband who frosts brownies and chooses the most frosting on any given cupcake or cinnamon rules declares that "pecan pie is too sweet". Just as well since we've moved to a low carb existence but I miss both it and fruitcake both.

Something fewer people are familiar with are walnut pies, yep pretty much like pecan but that's where I add the chocolate. My other version using walnuts has some orange peel and spices in it. People can be so strange... they might hesitate to take a slice of "pie" but if you make it in a sheet pan and cut it like cookie bars they'll snarf it down quite happily.

    This was delicious!

We didn't have Boubon, so I used Cognac and I just used a pre-made crust, but it was tasty!

    STOP THAT!

I lost 50 lbs. and gained 5 back just looking! LOL

I did enjoy some pumpkin pie at Thanksgiving (and for a few days afterwards)!

My old, 1960s, McCall's Cookbook has a recipe for chocolate pecan pie. It's soooo good!

I like chocolate and pecans but not together. f I was going to do a pecan pie, I would want to appreciate just the nuts because they are expensive right now.
