Frozen Dessert
Easy dessert to have ready in freezer. I love this.
Mix following in large bowl.
2 cups crushed Rice Chex cereal
2/3 cup brown sugar (I don’t pack it)
1/2 cup chopped peanuts
1/2 cup sweetened coconut
Toss mixture with 1/2 cup melted butter & press half into 9x13 pan. (I actually use 8x10 pan)
Open 1/2 gallon vanilla ice cream carton, let soften slightly & make thick slices. Cover crust with slices, press with something flat (like a pancake turner). and top with remaining crumbs. Cover securely & freeze.

Tranum ... Such a nice dessert to have on hand when company comes (or for yourselves)!
I've always liked it for the no-fuss-ready-to-serve part of it.
I have a similar one from way back when, from my Aunt.
For hers, you drizzle on some butterscotch or chocolate sundae topping.
Talk about extra delicious!
It also looks "pretty" made with strawberry ice cream ... or whatever flavour one likes!

Thank you tranum for this delicious recipe. Our Quilts of Valor group meets once a month to sew at our leader's home and we all bring a potluck dish. When the notice went out for this month's sew-in, I volunteered to bring the dessert (I saw your recipe and knew I wanted to try it). Our sew-in was today and it was a hit! There were no leftovers to bring home..just the pan. My husband and I sampled it last night and he recommended adding chocolate when serving. So, today, as I served each person's piece, I drizzled Hershey's chocolate syrup over the top (made it kind of pretty too). So delicious and so pretty.......Thanks again for posting it!
