Thanks for posting this recipe., I have decided to make a QB cook book from quilters here. Looks like quilters here are great cooks as well. Great recipes for German Potato salad. All look great. More to try.

My recipe is pretty similar to the above. Instead of using oil, I just use the bacon drippings , sugaer, cider vinegar, some caraway seed, salt (I don't add extra because of the sodium in the bacon)and pepper to taste vidalia onion (it's the only onion that does not give me heartburn), 1 lb bacon fried and crushed, yukon taters, served hot. MMM good. Ok, now I'm hungry. Guess I better go dig some taters up.
