Default Good foods for hot weather?

What are your suggestions for hot weather meals? Something that will not heat the house.
Thanks

I had frog eye salad years ago at a church picnic and remember everybody had fun with it. If its the same stuff I think it was pasta and pineapple and marshmellows with coconut. It reminded me of a salad I make that I call glorified rice. But the frog eye salad is more fun when kids are around.

Hot weather stand bys are, potato salad, 5 bean salad, romaine lettuce salad, tuna salad, deviled eggs, fruit salad and hot dogs and hamburgers on the grill.
If the weather is real hot I try to have cold snacks like melon sliced up and in my roasting pan in the fridge, bananas cut in half with a a stick inserted, dipped in melted chocolate and frozen on a tray in the freezer. Sometimes it's just too hot for a big meal.

Never heard of "frog eye salad," but it sounds similar to 5 cup salad. Which probably isn't really a salad, but if you call it that, you can feel good when you eat it!

5 cup salad

1 cup of each:
mandarin oranges, drained
chunk pineapple, drained
small marshmallows
flaked/ shredded coconut
sour cream

Mix together at least one hour before serving. Enjoy!

We are hitting 104 today, heat wave will last several days. I bought a rotisserie chicken, several deli salads and lots of fruit. I have lots of green salad stuff too. I have frozen meatballs already cooked and I cooked some hamburger so I can make pasta and meatballs and tacos or taco salad with he hamburger. The chicken will be used for tacos and chef salads. Lunch will be fruit, cheese, sandwiches, chips. Breakfast is cereal and toast or bagels. I also made a dozen hard boiled eggs.
