    Default Goodies for Quilting friends

My fellow quilter is kind enough to open her house for get together. We are all going to take an appetizer. I initially thought to take cookies but it seems that's what everyone else is taking. Any suggestions for a quickie, tasty appetizer?

What about a cheese ball and crackers? Or vegetables and dip? There are some cute display ideas for both on Pinterest.

Vegetable dip tray. I know at our get togethers there are way too many sweets. Now sweets are my weakness, but it's oh so nice to have a plain carrot stick or celery to cut the sweetness.

This is a great cheese ball recipe & very easy to make.

    Dried Beef Cheese Ball
2 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened
6 oz. dried beef, washed thoroughly & cut into small pieces
    4 green onions, chopped
    1/2 t. onion powder
    1/2 t. garlic powder
    2 T. Worcestershire sauce
    Finely chopped nuts

In a medium size mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, dried beef, green onions, onion powder, garlic powder and Worcestershire sauce. Form the mixture into a ball. Roll the ball in finely chopped nuts & refrigerate overnight.

x2. My tray holds 24 halves, bigger than most. Always empty to go home.
