I have made these for years but just a little differently.
1 c sugar
1 c corn syrup
bring to a boil for 1 minute, take off heat and and
1 c peanut butter
mix well and pour 5 cups of cornflakes (can add 1 cup
coconut)
drop by large spoonfuls on wax paper and cool
At our house they are "cornflake candy" and if one of the
grandchildren is coming and I don't have some made they
request them as soon as they get in the door.
