Default Incredible "The Bear" Chocolate Cake Recipe

I have not tried this Food & Wine recipe yet, but I think that I will make it for my son's birthday in March. The ingredients are decadent and expensive, but I'll bet it is just incredible! I found it at https://www.foodandwine.com/the-bear...e-cake-7105511

OK...will do. I'm going to have to put some money into my savings account in order to pay for all of the ingredients.

Oh my! I probably won't make it as I'd eat the whole thing all by myself.

OK...so...so far, I've made the frosting only. It's sitting in the fridge, waiting for my hens to lay the 15 eggs needed for the rest of the recipe. My son's birthday is tomorrow, but I won't be seeing him. The layers and filling will have to be put into the freezer until we can meet up.

I tasted the frosting...amazingly good!

Good golly, that looks absolutely scrumptious! Can't wait to see a picture of it when you are finished. What are you going to do with the 6 extra egg whites that are left over?
When I was still working, my boss absolutely loved chocolate cakes & I baked him something chocolate every year. I would have loved to have had that recipe to make for him on his birthday.
