Jalapeno Popper Dip

2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
1 cup mayonnaise
1 (4 ounce) can chopped green chilies, drained
2 ounces canned diced jalapeno peppers, drained (I use a larger can we like spicy in my house)
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
opt: bread crumbs

Directions
1.Stir together cream cheese and mayonnaise in a large bowl until smooth. Stir in green chiles and jalapeno peppers. Pour mixture into a microwave safe serving dish, and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
2.Microwave on High until hot, about 3 minutes.

NOTE: If you want a real popper taste bake as below. Change the parmesan cheese to cheddar and also you can switch up the cream cheese for 1/3 cheddar (too much makes it greasy when it bakes). Top with bread crumbs before baking for a REAL popper taste and while its not the prettiest of dishes its VERY good for dipping with thick chips or slices of french bread.
NOTE 2: you can use half mayo half sour cream also if you prefer.

Baked Variation If you would like to brown the cheese, bake at 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) for about 30 minutes.

My kids scarf this down like there will be no tomorrow.

Mmmmmmm - sounds so yummy! I had to laugh because all of the first responses were from California - Jalapeno country! Then Washington and Michigan "popped" up! Thanks for sharing this recipe!
