    Smile Just found this really

On Dr. Oz's show yesterday they gave this easy cake recipe. I just have to try it this weekend. What do you think?

    1 Moist white cake mix, 15.25 - 18.25 oz.

12 oz., 1 1/2 cups of flavored seltzer water - orange, pomegranate, rasberry, etc.

Mix cake mix, in its powder form and seltzer water in a bowl. Grease 9 X 13 pan with spray and pour cake mixture into pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes. Test for doneness by putting a toothpick in center of cake. This process is to be able to enjoy sweets without the oil. Enjoy.

It's a variation of an old Weight Watchers recipe that included diet soda instead of seltzer. I've read good reviews on the WW version but have never made it myself. I felt that it would be too sweet for my taste.

I've had the Weight Watchers version and loved it. I forgot all about it. I think I will make some this weekend as a treat. Thanks for the reminder! Use a chocolate cake mix with a can of diet 7up soda. It's good!

You can create your own combos ....

    Any flavour of cake mix
    plus
Any flavour of soda (one can) (or seltzer)

    Eg. chocolate and coke
    white and orange
    spice and ginger ale
    etc.

You can make it in the 9x13 or cupcakes or rounds or squares.
Then just follow the general baking directons re temperature and time.

I made it using diet soda and it turned out really good.

    delma

You can also use a small can of pumpkin (NOT pie filling) and an egg white stirred into a cake mix and it makes a good cake, moist .

Just the seltzer and the cake mix. That's all. Another one is one box of Angel Food Cake Mix and 1 large can of crushed pineapple, juice and all, and then bake. Top with sugar free or fat free cool whip. I have never cooked it in an angel food cake pan, I just use the 9x13 pan but friends have done it in the other and say it comes o ut just fine. It's just not as tall.
