    Default Light Frosting

The last birthday cake with icing was too sweet. So, For DD's birthday, between Christmas and New Year's, I printed out and cut the letters for her name, then dusted the cake with powdered sugar. Not the best pic-the cake cracked! But tasty and not too sweet.

The cake looks tasty. You could use quilting stencils to make pretty designs on cakes. Get more use out of the stencils.

Cute idea. I'm much more interested in how a cake (or any food, really) tastes over how it looks.

I'm not a huge cake fan, unless it has cream cheese frosting. Otherwise, I want ice cream with it.

This is a good idea for people who need less sugar.

Something similar ... use a paper doily to create a lacey design.

Or for a winter twist ...
... how about making a snowflake and then using it for the design?
