    Default Stuffing

I know there are as many stuffing (dressing) recipes out there, as there are wonderful home cooks. But have any of you ever made stuffing muffins and if so, what changes did you make to your regular recipe, how long did you bake them and how did they turn out? Thinking of changing things up for this year's gathering.

Sorry, I haven’t made stuffing muffins but I just got a recipe for stuffing balls that I’m dying to try...they are more like an appetizer.

you probably could put stuffing in muffin tins and bake it, when i make stuffing i don't stuff the turkey i bake in in a square pan comes out good I saute onions celery mushrooms or whatever you desire i use butter then i mix everything in a big bowl with the bread cubes milk and 2 eggs mix it well and and put it in a buttered pan and bake(350) till tooth pick comes out clean just like baking a cake....jmoore the stuffing balls sound good wonder if they could be deep fried like a hush puppy

The concept is great ... pre-portioned, and easy to serve.

I made them one year, and because of their size, they were too hard and dry for my liking.
Of course, that was a one-time run of the recipe, without adapting and adjusting it to work better.

I am sure there are good recipes that would be delicious and perfect,
but because of what happened to me, I would recommend a trial run,
before depending on the success at a gathering.

Look forward to hearing what you do .... and perhaps the share of your recipe!

I would look at some recipes on Pinterest and see what they do. I have never tried it

My favorite site is Allrecipes and they have a good recipe for muffins. http://allrecipes.com/recipe/245095/stuffin-muffins/ Love the idea of more crunchy outside pieces for everyone.

Wondering if you made the Stuffing Muffins, GingerK?

Another thing I just remembered from when I made them ... they didn't have as much flavour, which I attributed to the faster cook and open surroundings, rather than mellowing together for a longer time in a bird or a crockpot.

I think the flavour part was why I didn't go back to give the same recipe another go, trying to get it just right!

I actually ran out of time and ended up chucking the stuffing into a casserole. But I will try out the muffin idea--just maybe not on a hectic trying-to-get-everything-cooked-and-on-the-table at the same time kind of day. Will remember the flavour issue and add more herbs. I made a Presidents Choice Normandy butter infused turkey and it was absolutely marvelous!!
