are you meaning the old style clamp ones? That is what I think of when I hear meat grinder, but I realize they must have electric ones now.

I have my mother's Warever one. It gets passed through the family when needed (it's 60 plus years old). A friend of mine bought an electric one, it lasted two Christmas' for baking. She went back to borrowing mine again until she found an old crank one at a thrift store.

Unless you're going to get a heavy duty industrial one you just can beat those old hand cranked ones. However, if you have a Kitchen Aide mixer there is a grinding attachment you can purchase for them. I have one but I'm not sure how well it works since I've never used it. I still use the old fashioned one.

I still have the clamp on kind and have fond memories of my Dad making the dressing/stuffing every year at THKS and CHRist. and using one like that to grind the bread, giblets, potatoes etc.he used in his recipe...He liked to commemt throughout the meal on how good the dressing was...he was a treasure...

You might want to check out Agrisupply.com. They have both the manual and electric.

We grind deer meat and other meats. We purchased one in the states at cabela's. It was on sale so the price was right. We really like it and get lots of use out of it.
