I love special recipes from the past! I also love NEW recipes...so I've saved/printed both of these. I work and any time I can bring something to a potluck that tastes like I slaved for hours on it GETS MY VOTE...LOL

Hugs and thanks to you and to Grandma! She was a clever girl... ♥

Now that we're older and need to restrict sugar and fat this would still be great with no sugar Jello and no sugar or no fat Cool Whip. I'm going to make it at for our next family get together.

This sounds like what one of my SILs makes for every family get together. It is good.

Make it like this one, but leave out the angel food cake. Add the marshmallows, Jello, strawberries and Cool Whip or Real Whipped cream, which may be what they used. There used to be a buffet restaurant near where I lived that served this every Sunday! We just called it, "Pink Stuff."

My parents used to make a dessert with frozen strawberries (they came in a rectangular metal container), mini marshmallows, and whipped (or whipping) cream. They made it in a blender. I wish I had that recipe again, it came out like a mousse. Really good.
