Please help me figure this out ... as to what it is called!
It's an Italian marinated salad with bread in it that soaks up the marinade.
(or something like that!)
What's it called?
Someone mentioned it to me recently, as a spin off from my normal marinated salad.
But before I try altering mine to make it, I'd at least like to see a recipe for something similar.
Anyone have any ideas as to what I am looking for?
Or if you happen to have the recipe? or generalities?
Your input is greatly appreciated !
Buon Appetito !!

@Chasing Hawk Yes, that looks exactly as it was quickly suggested to me.
Thank you SO much!
Like duh ... why did I not google "bread salad" 🤷♀️ Too obvious?
Or maybe just shows that my brain is somewhat fried, right now?
Googled ... and lots there to keep me reading for awhile.
Any tips that anyone has to offer, are greatly appreciated!

As already linked and as a viewer of Chopped, my first thought was also panzanella. Here's a Ina Garten/Food Network recipe and video. I always like her recipes and style

@Jo Anne B. ... yup, totally delicious! Granted, I sometimes wonder if I don't have Italian roots, as it seems I like all foods Italian without question.
@SusieQOH ... What? with you and your Italian roots, I thought you would be ready to give me a cooking lesson!!!
And further to my comment above ... nope, no Italian in my roots!

QuiltE it probably has to do with the regions my grandparents came from. For example, I never had Pesto until I was around 30 and had it at a NYC restaurant. I thought I died and went to heaven! Obviously we make it quite a bit now.
