Baking..using a silicon sheet vs parchment?
I bought a silicon baking sheet and I am going to try it on my cookies todays. Anyone have experience using the silicon baking sheets?

yup work like parchment only you have to clean them lol. I like parchment paper for everything I bake.

DD bought me silicone liners and i do like them. But I prefer parchment, it is much more versatile in my opinion.

Best thing since sliced bread!

I love parchment. Simply because there's nothing to clean up. More time for sewing :)

I am with you Misty's Mom and bakermom. I love parchment paper! If it's not dirty I reuse it for baking.

I prefer parchment paper - burned myself on the silicone sheet pretty badly. I buy the cheaper parchment from Dollar Tree - 2 boxes at a time - and cut out as many pieces as I can from 1 box to fit all my pans - round, square, cookie sheets, 9 x 13, ......

I also like the parchment, use and throw away for what little bit of baking I do anymore. LOL

I have tried out my silicone sheet. It seems like it takes a little longer for the cookies to bake but they slid right off of the sheet. It stays "clean" looking too. I never use parchment because I never think to buy any. So far, I am ok with the silicone sheet but the old fashioned way of using a greased cookie sheet works fine too. I will play with this to see where I end up. You all have pretty much voted "parchment". Thanks for any continued input.

I have used the silicone liners for years. I have 4 of them with 5 baking sheets. ( I make many dozens of cookies each Christmas). I love them. I may wipe them down every few batches but basically don't clean them until I am done with the entire baking spree. Then I use a soapy rag with the liner on the pan and they clean up nicely and I store with paper towels between the liners on one of the sheets. My baking pans look like new and I have been using these since 2000 or before.
