We have an overabundance of beets this year. One can only use so many pickled beets, and harvard beets do not appeal. What do you do with beets?

I like them just as simple, boiled beets .... of course, with butter and salt/pepper! You can freeze them, to reheat later.
And for me, you can't have too many pickled beets! |
If you have way too much donate them to the local food banks or senior centers.
I personally don't eat beets to me they taste like dirt sorry. I did make a salad last night and put beet slices on my salad. |
You can never have to many pickled beets. I love them. I will open a jar get a fork and eat them like candy. The whole jar. YUMMMMMY!!!
|
Oh my never too many pickled beets. Share with your children or neighbors. Or me LOL -- !!
|
Good suggestion to share your produce with a soup kitchen or food pantry.

How could I have forgotten ... make borscht!

What would I do with them? I would not plant them in the first place, I don't like beets in any shape or form.

Mom always made beet jelly, it was really good.
