Fix cornbread dressing with shredded chicken in the dressing and serve with some type of canned vegetable as a side. Will feed a lot but won't blow the budget.

I make a really nice BBQ Pork in the crock pot.
Place a nice size pork roast in the pot on high for 6-8 hours, depending on size. Season with salt pepper a little basil and parsley. When super tender, take out and pour out all the juices... Take 2 forks and shred the roast. Put back in pot on low. Add large bottle of barb-b-que sauce...I like Sweet Baby Ray's. Add 1/2 cup of brown sugar, 2-3T dried Basil and the same of dried parsley. If you need a little water, you can add it....but not much. Heat for 1-2 hours...serve on hamburger rolls. We NEVER have leftovers of this...the guys always fight to take home what is left. |
I worked as a cardiac nurse for several years. I've seen people like this. It could be something hereditary that he didn't know he had. A pacemaker is a great thing to have- rather, a lifesaver!!!
It's so nice of you to cook them a meal :D:D |

It's so nice of you to cook them a meal :D:D I think macaroni would be a sure winner! They could add something to it and probably have the mac and cheese for at least two meals. |
Peggy, that's exactly what I mean. I even saw it happen to a neighbor's family. They ended up getting pacemakers after too many of them died way too young :(
The technology today is amazing, don't you think?? :) Ok, now back to recipes!! lol I got sidetracked hehehe |

My large family favorite is:
1-1 1/2 lb browned ground beef (drained and rinsed to remove excess fat) 1 large bag of stir fry veggies 1 cup uncooked rice or favorite noodles After browning beef, put all ingredients into large pot and cover with chicken stock (or 50/50 stock and water) on medium heat until rice (noodles) are tenter. 20-30 minues start to finish feeds 6-8 ***can use chicken, beef, sausage, *** also good without meat |
