sounds wonderful! i use sour cream when making home made noodles, or "sliders" is what my grandma called them. thicker noodle i guess!
i am think fried cabbage, with some crumbled bacon in it?! i have to try this! |

Golly, first fried cabbage and kielbasi, then cabbage soup, and now pierogies -- wow, I'm hungry. Looks like this quilt board has a lot of Polish descendents like me on it. Wish we could all get together for a real Thanksgiving meal.

When you make your homemade noodles, put in a generous pinch of baking powder. It helps the noodles plump up a bit when they are cooked.

Just happen to have a head of cabbage in the crisper. Love it done with bacon fat, but definitely not a healthy dish that way. Once a year we indulge, hey at my age it is time to enjoy the things that are bad for you once in awhile. Love cabbage with caraway, or kielbasa or just about any way it can be prepared; oooo like in a slow cooker with a pork shoulder roast.
