Correction on Spicy Caramel Apple Bread
 
Sorry about this, but just now got an answer from Werthers about this recipe:
Add 2 C. of powdered sugar to the butter and vanilla, then mix with Electric Mixer, every thing else is the same.
By the way this recipe is Wonderful!!!

Spicy Apple Caramel Bread (revised to include correction)
4.5 oz. Werthers Caramels
3/4 C. Butter softened, divided
2 C. powdered sugar
1 medium apple
1 T. vanilla
3 Lg. eggs
2 1/4 C. flour
1 t. baking soda
1 t. cinnamon
1 t. pumpkin pie spice
Preheat oven to 325, grease and flour 1 loaf pan

Microwave caramels and 2 T. butter on High, 1 1/2 minutes, or till melted, stir after 1 minute.
Peel, core, quarter and slice apple.. Stir apple slices into melted caramel, set aside.
Beat remaining 1/2 C. butter and vanilla, 2 C powdered sugar with electric mixer till fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time,beating well after each.
In another bowl , stir together flour, baking soda and spices. Add flour mixture to the butter mixture and blend
just till combined. Stir in melted caramel and apples.Pour into prepared pan.
Bake 1 hour 15 min to 1 and 1/2 hours, or till toothpick comes out clean. Cool on wire rack 15 minutes
before removing from pan. cool completely before slicing.
