Favorite Snack?

Mine is barbeque potato chips and half lemonade/half ice tea drink. What's yours?;)

bearisgray 05-04-2017 08:56 AM

Whatever is within reach!

I do like the half lemonade/half iced tea mixture. Made with real sugar. I have an aversion to artificial sweeteners.

Although I like sweets, I think I like salty better for snacking.

zozee 05-04-2017 09:07 AM

A banana. It's filling, sweet, nutritious, and self-contained.

cashs_mom 05-04-2017 09:38 AM

I have a lot of dietary restrictions (health reasons) so my snacking is pretty limited. My current snacks are raw almonds, Quest bars, fruit (sometimes with a bit of honey drizzled on it :p ) or cabbage salad. Its not very exciting, but I do think it's helping me.

Chapman's MAPLE WALNUT Frozen yougurt in a cone. It is 93% fat free and yummy!

marge954 05-04-2017 11:04 AM

Whatever homemade cookie is in the cookie jar when I go looking for a snack. I also love apple slices with crunchy almond butter.

sewbizgirl 05-04-2017 12:00 PM

popcorn, grapes, orange, apples. For some reason I crave a bowl of cornflakes late at night!

daisydawg 05-04-2017 12:09 PM

love puddings and/or ice cream.

lynnie 05-04-2017 12:51 PM

depends, i'm diabetic, but it won't stop me, i wish it would.
icecream, especially wth some extras, like brownie fudge with bits of brownie.
graham crackers, blueberry muffins with raisins and craisins in them, dried fruit, pecans and cashes, walnuts, almonds, soft pretzels, chocolate. I DO NOT like plain chocolate ice cream. it needs something it in.pudding or fruited Jello.

Chasing Hawk 05-04-2017 01:08 PM

Fruit salad (Fuji and Granny Smith, strawberries, green grapes)
Cheese and green grapes
Blackberry greek yogurt
Salt & Vinegar potato chips

Favorite drink Diet 7 up or sweet tea

Stitchnripper 05-04-2017 02:07 PM

I have no favorites. They are all good to me. I like salty, sweet, mixture, fruit, yogurt, crackers, but, with a medication that causes weight gain, I am hindered. It is a constant struggle.

geevee 05-04-2017 03:05 PM

For midnight snack a fruit yogurt cup put in the freezer for an hour then stirred up it's like soft-serve ice cream without as much guilt. I do eat a couple cookies, but they are oatmeal based and very low sugar so sorta healthy and counts as one whole grain serving for the day. lol

suern3 05-04-2017 03:09 PM

I love popcorn for a snack! For a splurge, I like cheese popcorn. I like salty, crunchy things and if I would let myself I could eat potato chips, too. We have chips in the house so I try to limit them to a handful or the crumbs in the end of the bag! Weird? My DH saves them for me! My DH is a sweet lover and has a bowl of ice cream most nights. He must have a good metabolism, very slender.

ube quilting 05-04-2017 04:18 PM

There was a time when it would have been Fritos and Hawaiian Punch.

And for a time I liked popcorn with Parmesan cheese sprinkled on it.

Now I don't crave much of anything but a good cup of coffee.

patsan 05-04-2017 04:24 PM

Turkey Hill brand Columbian Coffee Ice Cream.

Jslady 05-04-2017 04:45 PM

I like celery with creamy peanut butter smeared in the crevice.

Depends. An apple if I'm behaving and popcorn if I'm not. And Good 'n Plenty or M & Ms when I'm really naughty. But oh, they sure are good! (Total sugar and unhealthy, I know.)

Doggramma 05-04-2017 06:03 PM

I like Ritz crackers and cottage cheese, or sugar free pudding.

kittiebug 05-05-2017 03:03 AM

peanut butter cookie
coconut cake

What a great idea to freeze your yogurt. I'll try that, thanks!

I love those little mandarin orange lunch cups when I add a couple teaspoons of sherry vinegar to it. Very satisfying without many calories.

LindaJ 05-05-2017 04:33 AM

I am the original cookie monster. Trying to stay away from them so I can lose a few pounds, BooHoo.

Everyone else is eating pretty healthy by the sounds of it!

Cactus Stitchin 05-05-2017 04:51 AM

For me, either a couple Ritz crackers with chicken salad on them or a dill pickle. If I'm a little more hungry, a piece of toast with mashed avocado on it. As a child my mom would make it for me and put it under the broiler for a couple minutes. She also added a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese but I wasn't a fan of that.

Wanabee Quiltin 05-05-2017 05:00 AM

I'm not a snacker at all. That gene must have been left out of me. I know that I prefer crunchy things to eat so if I were a snack person, I would probably like pretzels or caramel granola bars with nuts. If I go to a party and there are nuts, I will eat a few of them.

Bren 05-05-2017 07:23 AM

Love crunchy Cheetos, but hate the orangy mess on my fingers.

tessagin 05-05-2017 07:30 AM

not much goes past my lips I don't like. Not really picky and one can tell. I need to quit.

sash 05-05-2017 07:47 AM

Love and so addicted to Staci's Pita Chips (the naked variety). Reminds me of when I was growing up and my mom would make homemade pie crusts and with the leftovers make "crackers" and I liked just salt on mine. Some like the cinnamon and sugar , but just plain salted was good for me. So, these remind me of the "crackers". I could eat the whole package at a time, but have to limit myself. I also like salt and vinegar potato chips.

trolleystation 05-05-2017 07:59 AM

Homemade rice pudding

That was my first thought also, but would put it in at noon for an afternoon cool snack.

sJens 05-05-2017 08:10 AM

Rocky Road Ice Cream or buttered popcorn

Kooklabell 05-05-2017 08:16 AM

Mackintosh apple with peanut butter. Peanut butter is what I go to if I can't sleep. Works every time.

annette1952 05-05-2017 08:20 AM

Oranges. Black cherry yogurt. regular graham crackers & Pork rinds that you pop yourself in the microwave

I solved that problem....I eat them in a bowl with a spoon! Looks weird but it works.

meanmom 05-05-2017 03:28 PM

All of them! I do love fruit and really need to stick with that more. I have been so bad lately.

madamekelly 05-05-2017 03:33 PM

Pink lady apples are my snack of choice. They are like a sweet winesap. Fabulous! Ritz crackers with a dot of strawberry jam is second place.

I pinky swear! Those Butterfingers are a treat, aren't they? (I'm bad, really, really bad.)

Jane Quilter 05-07-2017 04:17 AM

strawberries and grapes. (today is daughters birthday......I made her a whole wheat applesauce/raisen/nut/spice cake with caramel icing. I can still smell the browned butter waifing thru the house. I am eating that at the party.)
