I buy a large canister of cocoa mix and add flavored creamer. French vanilla and amaretto se's to be everyones' favorites.

my son made it one year, cost a fortune. we used dry milk, very pricy, cocoa powder, chocolate pudding (you're using powdered milk, thickens the hot cocoa) he also made plastic teaspoons dipped in hot cocoa with marshmallows . you could also add a shake of cinnamon or chili powder to add a twist to it.

This is the recipe I used to use:
8 quart box (10-2/3 cups)Carnation brand powdered milk 6 ounces non-dairy ccreamer (Coffee-Mate) 1 one-pound container of Nestle's Quick 2/3 cup (or more)powdered sugar mix well. Store in a covered container. To serve: place 1/3 cup (or more) in a cup and add hot water |
nutmeg or white chocolate covered spoons with crushed candy cane .....then there is a bunch of different flavored powdered coffee creamers gingerbread /ammeretto/french vanilla that you could ad in addition to the above recipe
