Incredible "The Bear" Chocolate Cake Recipe

OK...so...so far, I've made the frosting only. It's sitting in the fridge, waiting for my hens to lay the 15 eggs needed for the rest of the recipe. My son's birthday is tomorrow, but I won't be seeing him. The layers and filling will have to be put into the freezer until we can meet up.

Good golly, that looks absolutely scrumptious! Can't wait to see a picture of it when you are finished. What are you going to do with the 6 extra egg whites that are left over?
When I was still working, my boss absolutely loved chocolate cakes & I baked him something chocolate every year. I would have loved to have had that recipe to make for him on his birthday. |
I make a special dessert every year for Christmas. This one will go on the list. It sounds Ah-may-zing! It looks so simple and plain to the eye, but my mouth is drooling over the rich flavors of really good chocolate after reading the recipe. Recipe saved.

So...I never made the cake for my son...only the frosting. My DH decided at the last minute to go visit our son,so I had to whip up a cake fast, so he could take it down there to him. I just made a Devil's Food cake and used the frosting that I had made ahead for the fancy cake. It came out good. I still want to make the Bear cake though. Another time, I suppose.
