Jello made with Foam
 

does anyone remember making the jello with foam on top/or in the middle? we made it in the mid-80's & i can't remember where on earth the recipe came from! not sure if you can buy it that way or how it was made! Ring a bell anyone? Thanks!

it was called Jell-O 1-2-3. I remember it. do they still make it?

Was that the one where you mixed jello with cool whip?

It has been so long but we use to do a layer of sour cream.

My daughter used to do that. When it was almost set, she whipped theJell-O with beaters until it was very foamy. Then she poured it into the container or containers. (Parfait glasses?) When that sets, there is some clear Jell-O on the bottom and foam on the top. Then she poured on more clear cooled Jell-O, perhaps in a different color. That made three different colors, as the foamy stuff is a much lighter color from the bottom stuff.

Use 1/2 of the hot water called for. Dissolve the jello, then use the milk instead of water for the added cold water. The milk jello will set on top making a foamy layer. I use to do this to make dessert look fancy for my kids when I only had a budget for jello.
