Your recipe sounded good, so I tried it out with all diet ingredients...no sugar jello, non fat cottage cheese, light cool whipped topping, etc. It was so delicious. Thank you for sharing a great old classic...I always used a different recipe with pistachio pudding (instant), cool whipped topping, pineapple, marshmellows, walnuts. We always called it the 'green stuff' but I did not know how to make one with cottage cheese. Anyway, all my friends loved it and wanted the recipe. Thanks again. barbb from Victorville, CA

I make this too for group lunches in the Teachers' Lounge at school! It's quick and delicious! Glad you posted it!

This sounds Great! We're having our annual friends and family cookout in two weeks. This is definately going to be served. My mum use to make a jello salad each time we were invited to a cookout. She used sour cream. I remember it being very good. I think this will be a fun addition.

Looks yummy. I was looking for something to make without having to turn on the stove or oven. This is it.

I got this when I sold Tupperware a lot of years ago and if used cherry or strawberry it was Pink Stuff and then one day I made it with Orange jello with oranges and pineapple and my son said Mom this is not pink so what do we call it and I said Orange Stuff so what ever color jello I used that is what we called it and that same son loved that and his wife tried to make it and she told me that she made it but it did not look like the one he had made and she had jelled the jello and cut in cube and mixed with other items and he told her it was good was easier the make his way

It's one of my all time favorites. I got the recipe about 35 years ago and it was called "Dry Jello Salad".
