I LOVE lemon as much as I love chocolate, and your cake looks fabulous. I used to make curd filled cupcakes with a lemon cream cheese frosting, but cupcakes are a PITA... Thanks for sharing your technique, and congratulations on your win!

Thanks guys! I do not know how many other cake entries there were. I may have just won by default because I was the only one that entered that division. Who knows. My dau is going back tonight and she give me the scoop on that. I do know that I didn't have it quite finished on the plate. I should have piped around the bottom edge to hide the cake board. I plain forgot. I could have done better with the decorating overall. It was difficult to get it there in one piece. I do think that it tasted great though. If I do say so.
