I make mine with one can of garbanzo beans in a blender, add olive oil (just a little at this point), then add garlic and lemon juice until it tastes just right. If it is still a little thick, I will add a little more olive oil.

I serve with veggies.

If you have a Whole Foods in your area, they always have it. It's about the only place I can find it where I am, unless the local supermarket has a middle eastern section.

Explosive blessings, abundance and inspiration to you all!

Dumb question. I see hummas in stores and etc. What is it? What is it for?

I buy it at Amazon.com you have to get it in bulk 4 jars but it is worth it.

I am allergic to peanut, I wasn't alway and I missed being able to eat it so I found a replacment. I eat tahini and jelly sandwiches. Tahani tastes almost like peanut butter and it has almost the same texture. If you can't find tahani replace it with peanut butter you will never be able to tell the difference once the hummus is made.

it is a bean dip you can use it with pita bread chips or veggies.

I do I am allgeric to chick peas so I use great northern beans or navy beans I guess it is really a bean dip and not humus as humus is traditionally chick peas.

I hate to correct you however tahani is not a dip similar to hummus. Tahini is ground sesame seeds nothing more. Hummus is chickpeas, garlic, olive oil, salt, pepper, lemon juice and tahani.
