Party dishes...

Every year my husband has a party for his company and I do the food.
In the past, I've done the usual suspects as well as S&S meatballs, pulled pork, egg rolls, hot pizza dip, that sort of thing.
I'd really like to do something new this year for the buffet.
The criteria is:
-enough for 25
-able to be put in a chafing dish for the evening
-not super labour-intensive
-able to be made ahead and re-heated a plus

Anybody?

Thanks!
Watson

Sausage cheese balls (there are a few different versions if you do a search). Spinach pie, one with a traditional crust and another with muenster cheese for the gluten free version? Macaroni and cheese-it's not just for kids!

Crock pot chili and homemade crock pot macaroni and cheese or crock pot lasagna?

Editted to add another criteria....something that can be eaten off a plate with fingers or toothpicks.

Sorry about that.

Oh shoot, I'll be right there. I'll bet the company don't want the menu changed! I sure wouldn't.

Sausage cheese balls will still work.

I have done "little Smokies" in BBQ sauce, it was for a bunch of teenagers so I was afraid they would be too messy but worked out fine. We have done the Taquitos - pizza roll things, like the bagel bites. Check out Costco, they have so many appetizer type foods in their frozen food section.
One thing I do make from scratch is twice bake potatoes - we call them Western Potatoes. Where you bake the potatoes, then cut in half, scrape out the inside, then blend in butter, cheddar cheese, chives, salt and pepper to taste. Then spoon it back into the potato skins, cover with cheese and bake at 350 degrees until the cheese is melted and heated thru - about 25 - 30 minutes. When I do it for a large group I look for the small potatoes.

How about a huge crockpot of soup (served in small paper or plastic cups with plastic spoons), maybe some slider-sized sandwiches and an assortment of cheeses, fruit and veggies, crackers, dips, etc. Cupcakes are a really "in" dessert or you can put out a tray with brownies and cookies, or maybe a nice poundcake or assorted pies. How nice of you and your husband to provide this!

I agree. Especially if it's sooner than later.
