I started writing down what I was eating and was able to eliminate some items from my diet that were causing me distress. Try it and see if the tea is bothering you.

Good one Patrice!! Actually Jim know a little about the human body and health, but he's not a doctor. I get iced tea mix from Walmart and make two half gallon pitchers. I can finish them in a day and a half. He says this is why I get diarrhea so often. I think it's because I'm female and sixty.

Wow, how much sugar is in that?? Some iced teas have more sugar than soda does. Maybe get some unsweetened and mix it in.

I drink a gallon of ice tea every day of my life. The day my husband decides to police it will be the day he learns to cook and do his own laundry. I do drink decaffeinated these days because I do like to sleep on occasion. With all that being said, I love the idea of ice tea candy. You can never have too much tea. :D

So many things can cause diarrhea, that I'd be hesitant to blame the tea. It could be a lactose intolerance or soy intolerance, for instance (soy protein is in SO many things, nowadays).

If it's unsweetened it should be okay, but if it's sweetened that's a lot of extra sugar and calories. That could have an adverse affect on your health. He is just concerned about you because he loves you.

I too drink decaffeinated tea--tea is a diuretic like coffee and maybe all that liquid does go straight through a person. I drink my tea without sugar or cream.

Actually there is no sugar in it. There are zero calories because it has artificial sweetener. Maybe it's just my age. I understand that as we age, things that never affected us before, suddenly do.

Sometimes artificial sweeteners can cause problems, especially if you consume a lot of them.

I would alternate because I had to alternate. I changed my iced tea habit (I drink it straight no sugar or lemon) to alternate same amount of water as iced tea. Then it was 2-1; 2 glasses water to one of iced tea. When we go out to eat we order iced tea to drink with our meal. Now I drink maybe iced tea twice a week. has cut back on the diarrhea!

some artificial sweeteners can cause diarrhea. I had a horrible attack once after eating a small dish of sugar free ice cream.
