My recipe for white potato pie is to put hot scalloped potatoes into an already baked ordinary pie crust. Sprinkle with grated cheese, bake a couple of minutes until the cheese melts, if you need to... Serve wedges! There are a million variations! Jeannie |
Almost sounds like potatoe patties but instead of patties put on cookie sheet and add ????? for topping (smile) Was it sweet? did it have onions? If it had onions. it really does sound like a pattie type. hmmmm got me scratching my head now. oh and thank you for the potatoe candy recipe. :)

Do you know what other ingredients were in it? Here is a link to some Finnish and Scandinavian recipes http://www.dlc.fi/~marianna/gourmet/finnish.htm

Haven't found the recipe yet, but a thank you to all that have replied and given me several websites to check out. There was no onions or eggs mixed in, might have to do some sample batches to get the right combination.
