Thanks I lost this recipe. Well, okay I confess. I really tore it up so I wouldn't have to make it anymore. This was my Ex's favorite. He loved this side dish so much he wanted to have it 3 to 4 times a week. So I tore it up so that I wouldn't have to make it so much. I haven't made this for over 20 years. I'll have to start making it again because it's really good.

Adding this to my list of recipes. I like easy meals.

Can you sub frozen hash browns for the grated potatoes? Seems that would be faster.

This is a favorite in our house! We call them sour cream potatoes and my friends all refer to them as funeral potatoes as they get made many times for funerals. I was later shown that you could make them with a 30 oz bag of frozen shredded potatoes and that makes it super fast and easy.

This sounds really good. I'm going to print it off & make it when my dd gets home from petsitting/housesitting next week

I have that same recipe, but instead nof cornflakes, my recipe calls for frosted flakes. And that sweet/salty combination thing is awesome. Everyone who has tasted it, loves it.
