I bought the Cook's Essentials electric pressure cooker from QVC on sale for $40 because my neighbor bought all 3 sizes of the same one and raved about it. I certainly agree. The 4 qt. is plenty big enough the 2 of us.

DD had about worn her elec pressure cooker out.Cabbage or beans ,soup,a lot of veggies. So I bought the 4qt size & there it sit & sit.Think I am just too old to appreciate newer kitchen helpers. When they came to visit, the cooker was boxed up with a good handle & flew home with them.Other DD swears by the Ninja cooking system. My feeling is whatever works for you.

I've been terrified of pressure cookers since I was a child. Also wary of gas ovens since the days I had to 'light the pilot' with a match and blew off my eyebrows, hahaha!
Love reading about y'alls experiences but that's about as close as I'll get, thanks. Jan in VA |
This pressure cooker that we are all talking about is an electric one and it does not have the weight on top that standard pressure cookers require. The electric ones are programmed to either remove pressure by its self or you can flip the dial on top.
