Mmmmm-molasses, the darker the better. I love the blackstrap molasses (I use it as an ice cream topper-yummy) and dark brown sugar only. They have to be chewy, or they're not worth eating. Second would probably be a wonderful shortbread-best I've had is Walker's, (yippee Costco at Christmas)so buttery. Oh-or toffee bars. Should I stop now?
|
Aw nuts, I forgot the shortbread! And the Girl Scout cookies! Have you seen those mint fudge oreos in the stores? They taste EXACTLY like Thin Mints, and you can get them year round!
|
Pepperridge Farm....raspberry filled
home baked......peanut butter |
Soft White Chocolate Macadamia Nut!

The all-time family favorite around here are sugar cookies made from my grandmother's recipe and iced with buttercream icing. Of course, real butter in the cookies and icing.
The challenge is knowing how much flour as the recipe states 'enough flour to make a soft dough.' The amount varies with the weather I have found, so you just have to develop a feel for it. I only do these at Christmas. |
Our all time favorite is an anise flavored soft cookie with anise flavored icing. But, they are time consuming and usually made for holidays.
The ones we make the most are our own version of oatmeal, white chocolate and nuts. No matter what kind of nuts I use people think they are macadamia nuts. These cookies are requested by our bank personnel, and some other local businesses that we frequent. |
I love cookies in general but my favorite are oatmeal cookies.

My favorites are sort of my own concoction. They're called Wicked Awesome Cookies (in New England, where my family's from, wicked is a good superlative; if it's really really good, then it's wicked good). I saw the base recipe in a book years ago. I can never leave anything alone, so I started to add. These cookies have the best parts of other cookies all rolled into one. Oatmeal, peanut butter, coconut, macadamia nuts, chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, Raisinets.....I could go on. I tend to throw in whatever I happen to have on hand. It's a cool day here today...I just might have to make some!!
|
Dunkin Platter!! Hands down!
|
umm... all of them???
|
PEANUT BUTTER
|
Daily, good gingersnaps with my morning coffee. Special, my homemade Greek Wedding cookies or my step-mom's sour cream sugar cookies, crisp around the edges , center about 1" high and like cake. Yum! They are the "drop by spoon" cookies.
|
Usually like a chocolate chip, but have you tried the new Oreos, mint, dipped in fudge, they show on tv now. If you like the Girl Scout Thin Mint ones, then try these! They are wonderful!...
|
I love cookies almost as much as chocolate. I prefer homemade but will buy Oreo's and Steenstra's Almond St. Claus cookies. My latest alltime favorite is homemade Cranberry White Chocolate Chip. YUMMY!
|
oatmeal but right now not eating cookies
|
My all time favorite are home made oatmeal raisin, but these days is the Pepperridge Farm Raspberry filled OMG they are to die for. I take one to work and when the students are gnawing on my last hair and my eyes are popping out, I whip it out and take a time out for me and savor it. After that I'm human again...

anything Home made ( not package as home made)
hot coffee and fresh cookies and good book to read |
Double Double stuff Oreos!!!
|
Wedding cookies from the store - only buy them once a year when we're at the GA Mountain Fair since I'll eat the whole box and be in a sugar stupor. Also, mine and my husband's all time favorite - Keebler chocolate nut fudge cookies that they made in the 60's and 70's. Don't know why they quit making them - I would have thought we bought enough to keep them in business.
|
Girl Scout Thin Mint.
I eat cookies once a year. |

My homemade Chocolate chip with pecans, cold from the fridge.

Chocolate chip and rhubarb cookies.

Blossoms. They are a gooey marshmallow on a soft wafer and sprinkled with browned coconut. I can eat a full package without stopping.
I like anything that has marshmallow in/on it. |
OK now that I have gained 5 pounds just reading this, Lets do it again tomorrow but give the recipes. My favorite is white chocolate macadamia nut. Once I made nutella cookies. I started making another kind and was out of some things. just started putting things in. They were awesome. I have never been able to reproduce them.
|
Keeblers Chocolate covered Grahams out of the fridge But I really prefer Pies mmm
|
Do you remember the fruit cookies by Sunshine Biscuit Co. that had a thin crust with a raisin filling? They no longer make them. They were my favorite cookies from the store.
I would have to choose ginger snaps now. Homemade cookies are still far better. My all time favorite would be Carmel Sandtarts. My mother always made them at Christmas time. They were rolled very thin and topped with cinnamon sugar. Next favorites are Russian Tea Cakes and Amish Woopie Pies. I think I might make cookies on sunday..LOL..YUMMY Peace and Blessings, Janet |
