I learn something new everyday on this board. I had no idea you could use liners for the crock pots. We use ours all the time and have at least 3 if not more. We have a large garden so it used at harvest time and then all winter to make it smell and feel cozy while stuck in side.

Liners sure make a quick clean up of the crock pot; I doubted them at first until I tried it.
Anael, that red one is nicer than what I have that gets too hot, so it should be fine. |
For the same reason you might 'need' a pressure cooker. Different cooking methods = different results. I wouldn't be without either one.
|
Maybe someone has already posted this, and you wouldn't need it, but when it is hot and you don't want to create more heat in the house, it is useful even if you are home.
|
Starshine, thanks. It has been mentioned before and the thought of not creating more heat in summer is very attractive :)

Hot chocolate in the crock pot. Pour in some milk. Add some cream or half and half if you'd like. When it's hot add chocolate chips, a little salt and a little vanilla and enough powdered sugar to make it as sweet as you like it. I added about 3/4 of a small bag of semi sweet chocolate chips to about 4 cups of milk.

I wouldn't use one if I were alone. I have one and rarely use it. My DH and I are both home all day.
