• 3 cups ground vanilla wafer (1 1/2 box)
• 1 cup ground nut meats (walnut, pecan, etc.)
• 2 cups powdered sugar
• 3 Tbsps corn syrup
• 1 1/2 Tbsp cocoa
• 1/2 cup whiskey, rum or brandy
Mix well. Mold into balls using a melon baller. Dust with powdered sugar and store in an airtight container.
We like them. We use Myer's Rum.

Gotta laugh..any booze will do..I have a recipe somewhere from my mother..its titled "BOOZE BALLS"  It seems part of the directions were ' make them a few weeks ahead and cork them up tight'!! Thanks for triggering a great memory of my mom :D

Does anyone else dip these in melted chocolate? Seals in the flavor and is oh so wonderful on the taste buds!!
My Dad would never touch alcohol, but when he spent Christmas with us, he loved this "candy" we made. He never refused to eat them and no one ever told him what was inside. They sure were good. And next week Dad will be 102 years old.
A little Rum never hurt anyone!!!
