Default Went out for breakfast this morning.

We had errands to run this morning so hubby treated me to breakfast. We went to iHop he had his usual pancakes and eggs. I had this new menu item called the"Gomez Green Chile Omelette". Omg, was it ever good....Here is what was in it:

Marinated pulled pork, Jack & Cheddar cheese, fire-roasted red and green peppers and onions and green chile verde sauce topped with sour cream.

It wasn't spicy at all, just a good savory flavor about it.

It sounds wonderful...I won't eat at the local ihop though. Every time I go I end up with food poisoning. I might try to make it at home though

I love their mixed grain waffles, but have not been in years. The closest one is an hour away.

DH teases me that I measure all pancakes against those of a local restaurant. They are just the perfect cake to me - slightly sweet, fluffy, not tough at all... Yum!!

Although I am a reasonably good cook and baker, I can't make pancakes to save my skin! So they are an "out to breakfast" treat for me.

I don't go out to breakfast and there is no longer and iHop near us. So breakfast is a treat of the usual breakfast specials when we do go out. Breakfast is usually a short affair anyways since I am always in a hurry to get back to a quilt or to get back here.

Pulled pork in an omelette with green salsa. My DH would love this. Maybe as a treat, I’ll make him one. I make fresh green salsa fairly often.

That does sound yummy. I like green chili verde on just about anything......:~p My DH even put it on corn on the cob with butter wrapped in foil and cooked on the grill. I saved my foil so I could keep dipping the corn in all that tasty juice.
