DH is a hunter. I don't care for white tail deer meat because it is too gamey. However, nilgai are also available to hunt, and they are just fine. He fills the freezer with hamburger in 1 pound casings. Tastes like beef. He tells the processor how to prepare and how much fat. Last year, we had some cutlets made, also, and they were great. I am picky when it comes to game. Love dove and quail, but not duck.

I had a problem with my freezer and had to get it serviced last week. This made me take a good look at what's lurking there, and I am determined to make some space in it this week. Last night we had previously frozen fish, and today I'm defrosting bits and bobs of spaghetti sauce-like stuff for pasta. For tomorrow, I'm going to hunt for a recipe to use left over hot dog buns - any main dish suggestions?

I never eat much for dinner because of the hour I would have to eat. I eat my main meal for breakfast and I am never hungry the rest of the day. I eat whatever ya'll would eat for dinner. However, I eat that menu for my breakfast. This morning I am cooking mac & cheese (homemade only).

I'm the same way. I would prefer to have my main meal in the morning, or at least by lunchtime. I hate sleeping on a full stomach. This morning I made Calzones. they're colling off now and I'm hungry!

Yes! Dry them out in a low oven and crumble them up. they make great bread crumbs to put on top of casseroles. they'll keep a long time in the pantry.

For tonight Chipotle chicken is in the crockpot. Older son is visiting and he requested it. We love it too.

I like to eat a big meal around 4. My husband wants it about 7:30. If I cook he has to heat it up for his meal. If he grills then he eats by himself.

Meatless Monday: Pepper Jack quesadillas with shredded lettuce, sour cream and hot (medium) sauce.

Found 2 pieces of cold pizza in refrigerator so heated them up in air fryer for us. He had fruit and I had cheese balls. We ordinarily don’t eat junk but . . . .

I spent most of the day at doctor appointments in town. I had to be worked-in to have my crown reattached! So, nothing got thawed or prepared for dinner. I used the immersion blender to turn the pinto beans into refried beans, grilled some frozen "fajita vegetables" (onions and peppers) in butter, and made nachos. Also, mashed an avocado for the top.
