Default Why is there nothing to eat?

I have a pantry and fridge both full of food, but there is nothing to eat. Anybody relate?

I can relate.

I'm a chef and sometimes I serve lunch and then look around and can't find anything to put together for me to have quick for lunch.

I am well aware that this is a 'first world' problem.... I don't want to make light of world hunger. But I really need to figure out what to have for lunch!

I think the real questions are:

"Why is nothing appealing to me?"

or

"Do I want XXXX enough to actually prepare it?"

I agree with bear! My cooking has been reinvigorated by my Instant Pot(s). I even made myself a perfect poached egg this am.

If I have to cook it, I don't have anything to eat! If I can thaw it, microwave it, use a can opener or put it between two pieces of bread, I'm ok. I'm also known as The Queen of the One-Dollar Menus. Just saying---I live alone.

You are all too funny. I ended up having a grilled cheese sandwich. I think I just want food to appear on the table, miraculously - complete with visual appeal, without any effort on my part. I guess that is not going to happen....

Wouldn't that be nice? With all my food sensitivities, I make almost everything I eat myself so that I have less chance of eating something that will cause me problems. Sometimes I really wish I could just go to a restaurant like I used to and have someone bring me food.
