My friend showed me this little trick and it works. I will definitely try the AF for the celery though. Thanks for the tip!

My MIL told me to do this but I ended up with a bunch of soggy, slimy, disgusting lettuce. Wonder what I did wrong.

I think I'd worry about the ink from the newspaper ruinning my lettuce. Going to try AF for my celery, onions a cucumbers. Thanks

I put a couple of patter towels in the bottom of a tupperware bowl and burp the cover can keep lettuce fresh and crisp for several weeks. Put the core end down............

Wonderful tip! Several weeks ago I was reading that celery helps to lower blook pressure, so I have been eating a lot of it lately. Now I know how to keep it fresh when I buy a lot on sale.
