As hot as the summer has been,it won't be long till the nights cool down, with Fall not far behind.

Do you cook different when it's cooler? I do.That's when a roast with veggies,beef/veggie soup & chicken with noodles or pot pie tastes so good.Food even smells better as it cooks slow in the oven.Apple pie ....oh,my!

What dish do you look forward to ?

Willie Strange's Good Soup...I looked for the original story and recipe and wasn't able to find it today. I'll try and dig more later..A church group was doing work for their elderly..honey do jobs here and there..a lady had no money or nothing to donate to the church but she did have a pot of soup to feed those that were working on cleaning her yard and such..It is said it was this recipe. I add a bag of shredded cole slaw mix to it and add a pan of hot biscuits. Great comfort food!

In the fall I get into the mood to make soups...and have several favorite recipes...when it gets to be fall, I will post some of them.

In the fall, I like to make soups, stews and chili. But, if I had to pick a Fav, it would be Beef Stew with Homemade bread. Just the thought is making me look forward to fall.
