I just finished the Dick and Jane baby quilt and I'm very happy with it. I used a poly batting in this and I hand quilted it.

I agree with Linda M. I would do more quilting on it. I have always used cotton or poly batting's and have never had a problem. I always throw my cotton batting in the dryer to remove the wrinkles...

Thanks you. I prefer making applique quilts even though they take so long because I only do hand applique but in the end it's worth all the trouble. :D

Yes, that's the great thing about scrap quilts. You just cut fabric any length and width and it all works out at the end. :thumbup:

I used a pattern but tweaked it which is what I usually do with every pattern I make. I read instructions once and when I'm done with the quilt realize it doesn't look like the pattern. :P

I had so much fun making this 54 inch quilt. I was able to put in many of my floral scraps and it even has fabric from Illinois that my cousin got for me. I will eventually make another one like it.
