I have 2 Berninas- older 1230 and 1100 (I think). Bought both gently used and have not sewed on anything that comes close. Guess it is what you get used to- I will always opt for the Berninas.

Don't hesitate to look at used machines. I have 2 older Berninas I bought used. I have had the older one (1320) for at least 18 years - the perfect machine for me.

The machines are so very different. I tried many and ended up with a very slightly used Statler. Worth each and every penny. Make sure what you get is substantial. It makes a huge difference.
