    I hate hand stitching bindings and would love some tips for machine binding. I've always been embarrassed at my previous attempts in this area.

    Yes use them at every turn. To me, seeing them out renews the joy of the fabrics and the fun I had making them. I also love it when my giftees tell me how much they are enjoying my quilts.
