I make stuff to use, not to look at.

I have some glass dinnerware I don't use often----------not because its too good to use-----------but because it's too heavy to drag out often. Everything else I own gets used.

Mine are on the beds, couch, and chairs and all my grandchildren's beds and even their doll beds. Well used and loved as they were intended to be.

Display and use, this gives you more reasons to make more. Besides don't you like the idea that when company comes they awe at what you made and they don't have....enjoy, life it too short.

Why wouldn't you use them? Are you waiting to leave them to someone to inherit or give to Goodwill when you are gone? Hmmmmm...

Yes use them at every turn. To me, seeing them out renews the joy of the fabrics and the fun I had making them. I also love it when my giftees tell me how much they are enjoying my quilts.

Absolutely! If they aren't being used, why make them?

quilts are made to be used, not stored in the closet for no one to see.

Ditto for me! Provides good reason to make new quilts for when there's noticeable wear on well used ones!

I had that feeling when first started quilting. Then I decided they might as well be used and enjoyed as to be put away and no one ever see them nor enjoy them. I had shown our 3 granddaughters some quilts recently, one of which was a family picture quilt for my DH's 75th birthday. The youngest g.daughter grabbed a crayon from somewhere and colored on one of the pictures. I am still working on getting the crayon out without ruining the picture! if that doesn't happen, I will just laugh it off and that will be part of the "enjoying the quilt!"Mariah
