I have done three jean rag quilts, but they were only large lab/twin. I applaud you doing a queen.....HEAVY!!!

I also use 2.25" bindings. I trim my leftovers to 2" and then into my 2" scrap box. Then it is ready for those scrap quilts that need 2". :)
