Opportunity to buy 403A with manual and attachments for $65, do it?
Alright, I already have the following:
66 treadle
201-2
15-91
630 Deluxe T&S (needs gears, which I have)
Now, is the 403 worth having because it's a better version of the T&S, plus I have...

Top stitched pillow or quilt square (haven't decided) using a SINGER 15-91 and zigzag
I am loving that I keep learning everytime I use my 15-91! I've nearly mastered the Automatic Zigzagger.
My mother painted the fish and I topstitched the Dominoe pattern using medium bight and...

There is a beautiful, soft and confident sound that the 201 has that the 15-91, by virtue of the rotary hook and thread take up lever cannot have. The 201-2 is so smooth, almost meditatively calm.

I bought a new pedal off of eBay. But it has ceramic and points inside I think, that's not solid state I believe.

I'm a little shocked to say this, but I've had some one-on-one time with the 15-91 and I really am beginning to like it. The side mounted bobbin is GREAT. I can't believe how different embroidery...

Do you have the handwheel locked in, to turn the sewing mechanism the knob must be turned tight to engage the mechanism.
Idk why I thought about that, especially if it properly turns by hand.

Singer 66 vs 201 or 15-91 feed dog height.
Is it me or does it appear that the feed on the 66 rises slightly higher than the feed on the 201 and 15-91?
I was skeptical when I found my 201. I thought the feed looked too low to make proper...

It's funny that I just realized I only have 1 basic machine. All of my other machines have numbered regulators and reverse stitching. My trusty treadle 66 is the only one that has the knob.

This was checked several times by sewing on lined paper and measuring the setting of the regulator to stitches per inch.

I didn't get it for a steal but I did talk it down from $60 to $35.
It's my first locked up piece and my first 15 series. 1939 by the serial number. It's pretty decent to look at, had a large...
