I too like to have some filling in my table...
I too like to have some filling in my table runners. I use a low loft 80/20 poly/cotton and have had no issues with tipping or anything. Part of that could be beacuse I use a meandering or stippling...

I have a drop in bobbin and have never had any problems. My machine is a simple Brother machine...I drop the feed dogs...set my tension to about 7...almost the max...and pull up the bobbin thread...

That's because the red cans are made in France and the yellow/blue ones are made in the UK. Still the same product from what I can tell, only cheaper.

I have done up to a Queen on a $50 walmart...
I have done up to a Queen on a $50 walmart brother machine. It can be done. It was only straight line quilting with a walking foot but it still turned out fantastic.
